A single-item 0–10 numeric rating scale for current pain intensity. One of the most widely used and validated pain assessment tools, suitable for repeated measurement in EMA studies.

Scoring

Single item (0–10). 0 = no pain; 1–3 = mild; 4–6 = moderate; 7–10 = severe.
